The 2015-2016 NBA season schedule was released this evening and it looks like the NBA 2015 Christmas day will be filled with a lot of action that will be must see TV.
The first game on the schedule is Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans visiting Miami to take on Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat. A game that should highlight an improved Miami Heat roster taking on the up and coming Pelicans lead by new head coach Alvin Gentry. A good way to start off the days festivities if the Pelicans live up to their potential next season.
The Chicago Bulls will travel to one of the hardest places to play in the NBA as the Oklahoma City will host the Chicago Bulls. Two rookie NBA head coaches in Bulls Fred Hoiberg and Thunder head coach Billy Donovan going head to head with two of the more talented rosters in the game.
The third game which could be a big game, will be the NBA Finals rematch of the Golden State Warriors hosting the Cleveland Cavaliers which both teams will have something to prove after off-season comments by Kyrie Irving.
The Cavaliers will be out to prove that the loss to the Warriors in the NBA Finals were a fluke and hopefully their roster or at least stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love will be healthy. The Cavaliers made the additions of Mo Williams and Richard Jefferson this off-season which will certainly help, but the big story here is the Cavs being able to utilize Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.
If the off-season is any indication of what this next game will be we could be in for a good one as the Houston Rockets host the re-energized San Antonio Spurs. The San Antonio Spurs are obviously one of the best teams in the game, but with the addition of LaMarcus Aldridge this could be an early treat as we can see these two teams face off in the post-season later on in the year.
Last but not least the Los Angeles Clippers will get to stay in a very familiar place as they’ll take on the Los Angeles Lakers for the final game to wrap up NBA action on Christmas day. This game has the potential to be a snoozer if the Los Angeles Lakers don’t live up to the hype as they do have a lot of young players, but the one obvious reason to watch this is Kobe Bryant. Hopefully Chris Paul and Blake Griffin will take it easy on the young Lakers roster though.
With all of the NBA action on Christmas day their should be no issues finding some time to catch these entertaining games.
