Last week Phil Jackson attended Ohio State’s 81-57 victory over Nebraska and he may have spoken a little too soon on a future prospect in next years NBA draft.
Ohio State’s D’Angelo Russell is 19 years old and has the chance like other fortunate college hoops players to make the jump to The NBA.
Jackson was asked about Russell’s game and replied with a short and sweet statement of “He’s a great-looking kid. Great prospect.” but this still is frowned upon by The NBA.
The NBA has fined the New York Knicks for Phil Jackson’s public comments on D’Angelo Russell, league source tells Yahoo.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski the league has decided on a fine for Jackson which shocked quite a few around The NBA that Jackson would discuss a player that has not declared for the draft yet.
Jackson has been around the game long enough to know this rule, but the slip of the tongue will cost the Former Head Coach.
Jackson is currently scouting more now that The Knicks shots of a successful season are long gone, and Carmelo Anthony is now out which obviously hurts any chance of getting victories which at this point could help The Knicks get a better shot at the #1 overall pick.
