This story just give Dwight Howard haters more ammunition to hate him. I mean, what is this? What possessed him to cause this stupid incident with some “Stickum-like substance”?
He’s now risking suspension because of this dumb incident. Some NBA executives are actually speaking up, asking for Dwight Howard to be suspended for it.
Several players and coaches told The Vertical they have no issue with Howard or any other player using a Stickum-like substance, provided it doesn’t affect the game ball, like it did in Atlanta.
When McCutchen approached the Rockets’ bench on Saturday, Houston coach J.B. Bickerstaff appeared to move in front of the can in an attempt to block it from McCutchen’s view. Several league executives told The Vertical that if anyone should be punished it’s the Rockets, who knew the substance Howard was using was illegal – the can was covered in white tape – and then tried to cover it up.
A can covered in white tape? What kind of bush league tactics is this? The Rockets are so frustrating that they can’t even cheat properly. This sounds like something from a kids sports films.
Get Dwight Howard out of there man, he needs to sort himself out. And if there was an accomplice in the Rockets organisation he should be fired.
