Brooklyn Nets 99, Charlotte Bobcats 78
Charlotte took a double digit lead heading into the second half. However Deron Williams started a 8-0 run with a three pointer and two assists that put his team right back into the game. Williams, who score 20 points and eight assists started the run and the rest of his teammates continued scoring, outscoring The Bobcats 29-8 in the third period. Rookie Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had 17 for Charlotte
Cleveland Cavaliers 104, Utah Jazz 101
Utah held an eight point lead in the fourth quarter before Kyrie Irving took the game over for Cleveland. Irving had eight points, two rebounds, a steal and an assists, all in the last 4 minutes & 21 seconds. Irving ended up with 20 points and 10 assists. Gordon Hayward led Utah with 25 points.
Boston Celtics 83, Indiana Pacers 81
The Celtics were facing a deficit for most of the night. But they executed a great offensive set to free forward Jeff Green for a wide open layup for a two point lead with 0.5 seconds. Forward Kevin Garnett had 18 points a& 10 rebounds for Boston, who have won four games in a row.
Atlanta Hawks 107, Philadelphia 96
Reserve Anthony Tolliver who averages less than four points on the season, exploded with five three pointers and a season high 21 points for Atlanta.
The Sixers, who trailed by 19 in the first half, cut the Hawks lead to three only to see the Hawks get on a run, this time a 25-7 outburst. Jef Teague scored 27 Al Horford added 21.
Miami Heat 97, Orlando Magic 96
Lebron James gave the Heat, who were winning easily by 20 points in the third quarter, the victory by making a layup with 3.2 seconds remaining in the game. Miami’s winning streak is now 16. The Magic outscored the Heat 34-17 in the third before Miami started the quarter on a five to nothing run.
Nikola Vucevic had a monster game for Orlando with 25 points and 21 rebounds, his second 20-20 game of the season, both came against the Heat.
New York Knicks 87, Detroit Pistons 77
Raymond Felton had 26 points and Amare Stoudemire added 22 to led the Knicks, who were without Carmelo Anthony (sore right knee) in a crazy game that featured multiple runs.
The Knicks had the first run by leading the Pistons 40-25. Detroit came all the way back and led by double digits using a 18-4 run in the third quarter, only to let New York outscored them 16-0 during a fourth quarter stretch and run away with the win. Brandon Knight scored 17 for Detroit & Jose Calderon had 16 assists.
Memphis Grizzlies 91, Portland Trailblazers 85
Memphis trailed by 17 points at home for the second straight game, and like their last matchup, they came back and won. Marc Gasol finished with 23 points & 12 rebounds, Mike Conley added 20 points and 6 assists. Zach Randolph didn’t play for the Grizzlies, he was out with a left ankle sprain. Blazers Damian Lillard had 20 points.
Los Angeles Lakers 108, New Orleans Hornets 102
Los Angeles was down by as many as 25 points in the second quarter. The Lakers had an unbelievable comeback in the 4th quarter, outscoring the Hornets 33-9, including finishing the game on a 20-0 run during the final six minutes. Kobe Bryant led them with 42 points, 7 rebounds & 12 assists. Dwight Howard finished with 20 points and 15 rebounds. Jodie Meeks was huge of the bench with 19 points.
Minnesota Timberwolves 87, Washington Wizards 82
Ricky Rubio had 15 points, 11 assists, seven boards and six steals, Minnesota ended their sixth game losing streak. The Timberwolves were ahead by one, when Rubio stole the ball from Wizards John Wall and found J.J Barea for a basket that sealed the win. John Wall had 19 points and six assists for the Wizards.
Dallas Mavericks 112, Houston Rockets 108
After their horrible performance on Sunday against the Rockets, the Mavs responded well, especially O.J Mayo and Shawn Marion.
Mayo scored 13 points and had a career high 12 assists. Marion made it difficult for James Harden, who shot five out of 17 from the field. With the victory the Mavs kept their playoffs chances alive.
San Antonio Spurs 101, Chicago Bulls 83
Tim Duncan had a double double with 18 points & 10 rebounds and Manu Ginobili added 18 points and nine assists to lead the Spurs, who outscored the Bulls by 14 in the fourth, to get the win. Tony Parker didn’t played as he is recovering from an ankle sprain that will keep him sideline for a month. Marco Belinelli had 21 points for Chicago.
Toronto Raptors 98, Phoenix Suns 71
The Suns had only one player in double digits scoring, had 29 turnovers and got their three game winning streak stopped by the Raptors, who were led by former Suns player Sebastian Telfair who had 13 points and 7 assists.
Los Angeles Clippers 117, Milwaukee Bucks 101
Blake Griffin had the third triple double of his career with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Jamal Crawford scored 25 and Matt Barnes hit six three’s off the Clippers bench. The Bucks keep it close for over three quarters, but got outscored by nine in the fourth. Brandon Jennings scored 18 points and 12 assists. Milwaukee’s three game winning streak was snapped by “Lob City”
Golden State Warriors 87, Sacramento Kings 83
Klay Thompson had big plays offensivenly and defensively for the Warriors. His three pointer with 7.5 seconds left gave Golden state a two point lead. Sacramento had a chance to tie it, but Tyreke Evans missed the shot, mostly due to Thompson’s defense. The Warriors have won two games in a row while the Kings have lost two straight.
