The new arena is scheduled to open in September and cost $862.9 million to construct. Detroit’s NHL team, the Red Wings, will also play at the Little Caesars Arena. The Red Wings will play their inaugural game in preseason against the Boston Bruins on Sept. 23, 2017.
The Pistons move downtown after playing at the Palace of Auburn Hills since 1988.
