When the Milwaukee Bucks signed 37 year-old Kenyon Martin to a 10-day contract, somebody had to be the odd man out. That guy was 23 year-old Nate Wolters. It’s honestly pretty surprising that no team put in a claim for the young point guard.
Wolters, who is in his second year out of South Dakota State, in averaging 6.4 points and about three assists in his career per game. Many teams are in need of a good back up point guard, something Wolters could easily provide.
Teams like the Nets, Clippers, Lakers, Pelicans, Knicks, Pacers, 76ers; are all in “desperate need” of back court depth of the bench.
It’ll be interesting to see what will hapen with Wolters clearing waivers. A team that chooses to sign him doesn’t need to pay what his owed to him from his Bucks contract and can sign him for what ever value they want if Wolters chooses to accept.
He’s a dependable point guard who’s perfect role is to come off the bench and has the potential to grow and develop even more. Team’s should be intrigued by what he brings and his young age.
