One of Netflix’s upcoming series, Gypsy, has found its lead in Naomi Watts, who has most recently been seen in Demolition. The series is a psychological thriller in production from Working Title and Universal Television. Lisa Rubin (Yara with the Long Blond Braid) will write and serve as an executive producer for the series, with 50 Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson.
“Gypsy follows the journey of Jean Holloway (Watts) – a therapist who begins to develop dangerous and intimate relationships with the people in her patients’ lives” (Deadline).
Gypsy will begin shooting this summer. The first season will have ten episodes, which are planned for a 2017 premiere.
