For years, October’s Very Own has been led by the success of vocalists like Roy Wood$, PARTYNEXTDOOR and dvsn. Not to mention, there’s this guy named Drake that does a pretty good job of making music himself. More recently, Drake and company have put forth an effort to inject some new energy into the label and its affiliates. Not too long ago, Drake offered a co-sign to emerging R&B star Lavi$h. Adding on, he signed Naomi Sharon — the first lady of OVO Sound.

Naomi Sharon kicked off her run with OVO Sound by dropping not one, but two new videos. Both “Another Life” and “Celestial” provided an insight to the OVO singer. A thoughtful writer who opts for production that is more calculated and seductive than flashy or trendy, she quickly picked up new fans through the OVO partnership.
