The Golden State Warriors are stacked. They have been the best team in the NBA all year. Steph Curry should be MVP. It’ll be a failure if the Warriors don’t make it to the NBA Finals. Too high a bar? I don’t think so. Cause I’ll believe they’ll make it to the Finals and in great fashion.
Now the Warriors have a good team already, we know this. But picture this. Kevin Durant in a Warriors jersey. Crazy right? You’re probably saying ‘There’s such a thing as too stacked!’. But it’s a slim possibility according to Mychal Thompson, radio personality on ESPN Radio LA and father of Klay Thompson.
“I also heard it on good authority from a team that plays in the Bay Area that they’re going to go hard after Kevin Durant.”
Now that is a very blunt quote I know. But you know and I know that Thompson wouldn’t just say that for publicity. There has to be some sort of truth to it. Even if the Warriors make one tiny offer to KD.
The salary cap will be a big part of this. They already have three players worthy of a max deal in Curry, Thompson and Draymond. Would it even be financially possible to get Durant?
