Well, Marc Methot is probably not having a great night.
During Thursday’s matchup between the Ottawa Senators and the Pittsburgh Penguins, Senators defenseman Marc Methot had the tip of his finger cut off from a slash by Penguins captain Sidney Crosby. He left the game with a “finger laceration and will not return, according to the teams communications twitter.

As Methot skated into the zone, Crosby slashed him in the hand. He instantly reacts, but shockingly no penalty was called on Crosby(thats an argument for another time).

While the video does not show much, and does not seem serious, Methot immediately lets go of the stick, before taking it off to revel the lacerated finger. The aftermath is not pretty.

From the video, Methot’s finger looks to be completely missing the tip. As said he will miss the rest of the game, and it will be interesting to see if he is ready to go for Saturday’s slate against the Montreal Canadians.
