Former child star Mara Wilson is against the idea of a Mrs. Doubtfire sequel.
Wilson, known for her role in Matilda, played young daughter Natalie in the original comedy.
The actress took to Twitter to express her feelings saying that she doesn’t want to be involved in any sequel, and that she hasn’t been told about the plans.
Wilson quit acting at the turn of the millennium, recently telling Us Weekly:
“Film acting is not very fun. Doing the same thing over and over again until, in the director’s eyes, you ‘get it right’, does not allow for very much creative freedom.
The best time I had on film sets were the times the director let me express myself, bot those were rare.”
Her last high-profile role was Thomas and the Magic Railroad in 2000.
Robin Williams is expected to reprise his role as cross-dressing Daniel Hillard.
Chris Columbus is set to direct the film, while David Berenbaum will write the script.
