The film follows a young boy who lives in a world where there is no pain, emotions or suffering. When he is chosen to be the next ‘Receiver of Memory’, he learns of the past world.
The movie is based on the young adult novel of the same name written by Lois Lowry in 1993.
Brenton Thwaites, Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridges, Katie Holmes, Taylor Swift and Alexander Skarsgård all star in the film.
‘The Giver’ hits theaters on August 15.
