The first trailer for the Martin Luther King Jr. biopic ‘Selma‘ premiered during ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder.
The film stars David Oyelowo as King and follows King’s history charting struggle to secure voting rights, covering the Alabama march from Selma to Montgomery and the signing of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
The film also stars Tom Wilkinson, Cuba Gooding Jr., Oprah Winfrey, Alessandro Nivola, Carmen Ejogo, Lorraine Toussaint and Tim Roth.
Selma opens in limited release on Christmas Day before opening everywhere on January 9.
