The first teaser trailer for Left Behind has premiered.
The inspiring thriller stars Nicolas Cage, and is based on the best-selling novel series by evangelical Christian minister Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins.
The film also stars Chad Michael Murray and Jordin Sparks, and explores what happens to those left behind on Earth after ‘the end of time.’
In an interview with Variety magazine, Cage said:
“My greatest hope for the film…is that works as something that people will be entertained and thrilled by, but they’ll also go home and they’ll have conversations with their family [about].
They’ll ask, ‘Do you think this could happen or couldn’t happen?’, and it’ll inspire discussions and closeness.”
Left Behind is scheduled to release on October 3.
