The new poster for the final The Hobbit movie has been released.
Warner Bros UK Entertainment released the official poster for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, which shows Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins holding a sword.
Behind him is a burning skyline, with a tagline that says “The defining chapter.”
The Battle of the Five Armies is the follow up to last years installment, The Desolation of Smaug, which ended with Bilbo accidentally releasing the dragon Smaug on the people of Lake-town.
The final film will see the King Under the Mountain, Thorin Oakenshield, falling ill to dragon-sickness but desperate to find the Arkentstone, forcing Bilbo to make a desperate choice.
Meanwhile, Dark Lord Sauron sends forth legions of Orcs in an attack upon the Lonely Mountain, which leads the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men to make the decision of whether to unite or face destruction.
The film is the third and final part of Peter Jackson’s Hobbit trilogy, which is adapted from J.R.R. Tolkien’s novels.
The cast includes Freeman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Sir Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage and Luke Evans.
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies hits theaters on December 17.
