Peter Jackson has unveiled the first poster for the final installment in ‘The Hobbit’ trilogy.
The director uploaded the image to his Facebook page which features Bard going up against the ferocious dragon Smaug as a city burns around him.
Jackson also included the caption “Anyone else excited about San Diego Comic Con?” hinting that the poster may be distributed there later this week.
The movie takes place after last year’s ‘Desolation of Smaug’ after Bilbo Baggins and his band of Dwarves unleashed Smaug to destroy the innocent people of Lake-town.
Martin Freeman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Evangeline Lilly, Cate Blanchett, Richard Armitage, Ian McKellen, Orlando Bloom, Hugo Weaving and Christoper Lee star in the film.
‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’ will hit theaters on December 17.
