‘Lee Daniels’: The Butler’ has released a new film clip starring Jane Fonda as Nancy Regan.
In the scene, she invites Forest Whitaker’s character Cecil Gaines to a dinner at the White House as a guest. The film focuses on Cecil Gaines who has served eight different presidents between 1952 and 1986.
‘The Butler’ has already made controversy with a legal battle with Warner Bros. over the name of the film. The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) ruled that the film would have to change its name from ‘The Butler’ to ‘Lee Daniels’: The Butler’ due to Warner Bros. having a silent film from 1916 with the same name.
The movie hits theaters on August 16.
