Cowboy fans got some great news today in regards to Morris Claiborne and La’el Collins. Both players were injured during the regular season. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones gave us an update on their health via KRLD-FM via the Dallas Morning News entering the playoff run.
“Relatively speaking, I really like our health. Claiborne is going to be ready. Boy, that’s impactful to our secondary.”
“I think that we’re pleased physically with where he is,” Jones said of Collins. “I think he’s going to physically be able to go. We got a 21-day clock that we can put him on. We’ll probably start that clock with him, which means he’ll just be zeroed in on doing specifically football work. He, for all practical purposes, is through with his rehab.”
Claiborne hasn’t played since October 30th where he tore his groin. Prior to that he was having a resurgent season proving to be Dallas’ best corner.
Collins hasn’t played since week 3 but is regarded as one of the best guards in football. When you talk about the greatness of the Dallas offensive line, many people forget that Collins might atually be the best one. Ronald Leary has done a nice job in his abscence and if nothing else provides excellent depth in case of an injury during the playoffs.
