Microsoft is the latest to jump on the smartwatch bandwagon. We previously reported on Apple’s rumored Smart Watch, dubbed the ‘iWatch’ back in December. Now, rumors say that Microsoft is working on designing their own version of the futuristic tech device.
According to AmongTech, the Microsoft version of the smartwatch is said to have removable bands (of which there will likely be many color options), a 1.5-inch screen, and will be housed in ‘Oxynitride Aluminum’, a translucent aluminum that is supposedly stronger than glass and 80% transparent.
The watch will also run on an adapted version of Windows 8 and use Cloud storage. Unlike Google Glass’s watch, Microsoft’s watch will not need to be connected to a smart phone to work but can interact with them (such as showing push notifications or changing a song). It will include its own 4G LTE and 6GB of internal storage.
It is likely that more will be revealed by 2014.
