Team USA Basketball assistant coach Monty Williams has a job waiting for him in the San Antonio Spurs organization and he is expected to accept the offer according to Marc Stein of ESPN.
Last season Monty Williams left the Oklahoma City Thunder mid-season following the heartbreaking death of his wife Ingrid Williams.
The Spurs have told Williams he can have any job he wants coaching, player development or front office work.
Williams sat down with Hannah Storm of ESPN to talked about the tragedy and wanting to coach again.
A source also told Stein that Williams “absolutely” wants to be a head coach again in the NBA.
