Former NBA Academy and NBL wing Mojave King has signed to play with the NBA G League Ignite program. The former Adelaide 36ers player likely plans to declare for the 2023 NBA Draft after his year with the G League Ignite. While the program typically focuses on players coming out of high school, King is a talented player on the radar of several teams as a draft prospect. The 20-year-old has plenty of talent and should perform well against the G League teams next season.
Mojave King, a 20-year old draft prospect from Australia, has signed with the G League Ignite, his agent Daniel Moldovan told ESPN. King averaged 18 points, 3.3 assists per game in the New Zealand NBL this summer. He’s yet another NBA Academy alumnus to join Ignite.

The NBL is one of the better pro basketball leagues outside of the NBA and Mojave King showcased himself well against the other professional players. With the G League Ignite program he can fine-tune his game and adjust his game to a more NBA-ready style of play. He will compete against talented players in both practices and in games. Getting ready for the 2023 NBA Draft is his main goal moving forward.
A King amongst Kings.

Both the NBL and the G League Ignite program have proved themselves as viable paths to the NBA. With Mojave King going through both he should be NBA-ready after this upcoming year. His projection in the 2023 NBA Draft will largely depend on his level of skill in play this season in the G League. The G League Ignite program is looking to put yet another player into the NBA with King.
