The sequel grosses over $56.8 million over the holiday weekend, bringing it’s domestic total above $225 million… only after twelve days.
Penguins of Madagascar came in second with $25.8 million.
Big Hero 6 sits at number three with $18 million, while Intersteller lands at fourth with $15 million.
Horrible Bosses 2 debuted at No. 5 with $15.7 million.
