French Montana doesn’t get the credit he deserves. When it comes to the new up and coming talent, he is among the first few artist to reach out and give that artist a platform to reach further than the audience they may have at the time. When Fetty Wap’s ‘Trap Queen’ first started to buzz, it was Montana who reached out and remixed it before the flood gates opened and we received countless remixes and freestyles. As for Fetty Wap though, this doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be at the level he is without French’s cosign but that alone played a big part as to the two coming together for this joint project.
‘Coke Zoo’. Now for those who are French Montana fans may not be a fan of the title simply because it brings back memories of the days when we received ‘CokeWave’ mixtapes with French Montana and Max B. But if you guys pay attention and as mentioned by Montana in his Billboard interview,
“When me and Max [B] did it, when me and Three 6 Mafia did it — when I love a sound…it’s just something new,” Montana tells Billboard. “We’re both from the East — I feel like it’s big for our culture.”
After spending so much time on the road together, it was inevitable for this tape to come along and with it finally here, we get to see what the French and Fetty came up with. Fetty Wap’s debut album did relatively okay as far as sales are concerned and with Mac & Cheese the album coming soon, check out ‘Coke Zoo’ stream below and for fans like myself, I couldn’t wait, yeah baby (Fetty Wap voice).
