Great things come to those who wait. That’s evident due to Missy Elliott’s unexpected ICONOLOGY album announcement earlier today (8/22).
14 years since her previous studio effort, The Cookbook, Missy is back with a brand new EP. Titled, ICONOLOGY, the star cited that she was looking to take things back to where folks just wanted to dance. Possessing the capabilities to do that, along with many other talents, Missy’s ICONOLOGY is correctly titled for an icon like herself.
Arriving just ahead of her 2019 MTV Video Music Awards performance this Sunday, surely we’ll be hearing some of the project’s material come to life. Until then, it’s time to bask in the long-awaited, new sounds of Missy.
