Currently under a 3-year deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, forward Mirza Teletovic has been sidelined since December due to blood clots and a return doesn’t seem to be on the horizon. In fact, a return may never come at all as according to Racine Journal Times’ Gery Woelfel, Teletovic will have to hang it up for good:

After a solid multi-year stretch that saw him produce his best numbers, the past couple seasons have seen an unfortunate string of injuries ravage Teletovic’s once solid playing career. After knee complications forced him to undergo arthroscopic surgery, Teletovic was later diagnosed with the much more serious issue of blood clots late last year.
Knowing the risk that is attached to a serious health defect such as blood clots, it’s not surprising Mirza Teletovic will have to call it a career. We’ve seen this in the past, namely with 11-time All-Star Chris Bosh who is still currently fighting to regain his professional career.
If this is, in fact, the end of the road, Teletovic will have played 6 NBA seasons with the Nets, Suns, and Bucks. For his career, Teletovic has per-game averages of 8.1 points and 3.2 rebounds while shooting over 37 percent from three-point range.
