The Minnesota Twins have had a great and somewhat unexpectedly successful season with a record of 62-40 sitting atop the American League(AL) Central with their season just continuing to get better.
They demolished the MLB record for fastest to 200 homers by 19 games. The team that held the record prior to them was the 2005 Texas Rangers, it took them 122 games to reach the 200 home run mark.
The @Twins are the fastest team in @MLB history to 200 HR in a season (103 games), breaking the 2005 Rangers record by 19 games!

Surprisingly only taking this Twins team 103 games to break the record almost giving them 2 homers a game, it makes you think who are their main power guys? Well their team is very well rounded and that is what makes them so special.
Right fielder Max Kepler was fittingly the one who broke the record for the Twins being their best statistical player so far this year. He has 27 homers and 70 RBI in 94 games but there are many other players that aren’t far behind him.
Offseason pickup and designated hitter, Nelson Cruz, has played 19 less games at 75, he has only one less homer with 25 and 11 less RBI with 59 while batting 15 points higher than Kepler with an average of .278.
Other supporting players in Eddie Rosario who has 22 homers and 68 RBI and Miguel Sano, Jonathan Schoop, Jorge Polanco, C.J. Cron and Mitch Garver who all have over 15 homers on the season.
This team has a ton of talent that is more than capable of taking them far in the postseason, but it will be interesting to see what other records they can break before this season comes to an end.
