
The Milwaukee Bucks will have a D-League affiliate team based out of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, reports Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Sentinel Journal:
A 3,500-seat arena is being built in Oshkosh and is expected to be ready in time for next season.
Greg Pierce, president of Windward Wealth Strategies in Oshkosh, was a prime mover behind the city’s bid to land a D-League team. He formed Fox Valley Professional Basketball and worked with Oshkosh Mayor Steve Cummings and City Manager Mark Rohloff.
The Bucks also considered bids from Sheboygan and Racine.

The Bucks, under the ownership of Wes Edens, Marc Lasry and Jamie Dinan, have stressed the importance of being a statewide team and view this as another step in that direction.

As part of the announcement Wednesday, a clinic featuring former Bucks players will be held. Desmond Mason, Sidney Moncrief, Bobby Dandridge, Vin Baker and Fred Roberts are scheduled to attend.
The Bucks have scheduled a press conference for 3 PM in Oshkosh tomorrow, where they will announce the news.
The Bucks will become the 20th NBA team with a direct D-League affiliate, and the Oshkosh team will be the D-League’s 25th total team.
