Miles Teller has stated that he wants to play Elvis Presley.
The Divergent star said that his overall “goal” is to play the iconic singer in his younger years, as he feels nobody has ever “gotten that right.”
Speaking with W magazine, he said:
“My main dream is to play Elvis. That’s my goal. I think he and I look alike and do a lot of similar things well: sing, dance, and I think he played sports.
I want to play Young Elvis because they’ve never gotten that right. It’s easy to do wrecked, bloated, and drug-addicted.
I want to play characters who the fever and win. It’s harder!”
Earlier this year, it was announced that Warner Bros. would be releasing an Elvis Presley biopic sometime in the future.
Teller was most recently seen in That Awkward Moment and Divergent.
He can be seen October 10 in the new movie Whiplash.
