The call sheet just got a bit longer for Aaron Sorkin’s sequel to 2010’s The Social Network. According to multiple reports, Academy Award-winning actress Mikey Madison and EMMY Award-winning actor Jeremy Allen White will appear in the film. Details regarding White and Madison’s roles are being kept under wraps.
Madison, best known for her roles in Anora and FX’s Better Things, is currently attached to two other films — Reptilia and The Masque of the Red Death. In Reptilia, Madison is set to star alongside Kirsten Dunst in a movie about “a dental hygienist who is seduced by a mysterious mermaid into the dark and wet underworld of Florida’s exotic animal trade.” For The Masque of the Red Death, Madison finds herself in the story of a noblewoman whose exile “leads her twin to assume her identity in a plague-sealed medieval kingdom.”
As for Jeremy Allen White, The Bear star will appear in Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, a biopic chronicling the life and legacy of the legendary Rock N’ Roll star. He’s also slated to voice the role of Rotta the Hutt in Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogue.
When the two Hollywood stars wrap up their current projects, they’ll help Sorkin bring the follow-up to The Social Network to theaters. While it remains in early development, it is expected to document the fallout of Facebook’s rise and its impact on society. However, there is no word as to when the film will hit theaters.
