Mike Pouncey, 28, had seven seasons of ups and downs with the Miami Dolphins. After being drafted 15th in the 2011 NFL Draft, Pouncey went on to start every game in his first two seasons. He followed that up with three straight Pro Bowl appearances, a season spent playing guard and a contract extension after the 2015 season. But he also found himself in some off-field problems.
He was involved in the bullying issue centered around former teammate Jonathan Martin, another unnamed player, and an assistant trainer. Along with fellow teammates Jonathan Jerry and Richie Incognito, an investigation found the trio were harassing members of the Dolphins organization. Martin recently posted a disturbing image of a gun where he tagged Pouncey in the photo.
Pouncey also underwent offseason hip surgery in 2014 and shortly after inking his contract extension in 2015 he went on to miss 10 games in 2016 due to more hip issues.
