Chicago Bulls’ swingman Mike Dunleavy will avoid suspension for the cheap shot he took during game 6 vs. the Milwaukee Bucks.
Dunleavy hit Carter-Williams in the neck as Carter-Williams went up for a layup.
There was no foul called on the play, as the veteran Dunleavy knows how to get away with cheap shots such as this one. Upon review, the NBA determined that it was a flagrant 1 foul. This is not Dunleavy’s first time playing the role of agitator, at least if you believe DeMarcus Cousins.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was ejected for a tackle on Dunleavy that was likely in retaliation.
The hit on Carter-Williams was a blatant cheap shot. It was a punch to the neck, and most believed that he would receive suspension for it. However, according to a Tweet from Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, he will not receive a suspension, and will be good to go for game 1 vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Yahoo Source: No suspension for Chicago's Mike Dunleavy. Flagrant 1 foul.

This is good news for the Bulls, as they rely on Dunleavy to stretch the floor and knock down 3-pointers. Dunleavy is an extremely reliable shooter. He shot 43.5% from deep this season, and has never shot under 40% from 3-point range in any of his 14 seasons in the NBA.
