Mike Conley Jr is a great player. He’s the point guard of a team that gets the job done in a workhorse matter. Next to Ty Lawson, he is the most underrated point guard in the league. He gets points, he gets assists. He leads his team and they get wins. He ticks nearly every box that a point guard needs.
But Conley is currently injured. It’s a damn shame but he’ll be back. And even though he can’t participate in Game 5 against the Portland Trail Blazers. The injury hasn’t stopped him from making a difference.
Mike Conley is going to give the first 500 Grizzlies Fans that turn up to the FedExForum, free tickets. ‘Honey! Get the Sleeping Bag!’
“It was such a disappointment to go down in Game 3, but my spirits were immediately lifted after all of the support that I received from fans around the world, but especially those right here in Memphis,” said Conley.
“As a way to say thank you, I’d like for them to be cheering us on tomorrow at Game 5 because there’s no greater experience than the NBA Playoffs in Memphis.”
Feel lucky Grizzlies fans. Conley could’ve done that for any old game. But Game 5 of the first round where your team could potentially clinch? That’s the definition of a decent night out.
