The Memphis Grizzlies have been busy this offseason. Quickly on the heels of signing Chandler Parsons to a max deal, the team has done the same with Mike Conley. The point guard will be receiving his full five-year max from the incumbent team, per Tim MacMahon of ESPN. That will equal out to $153 million over five seasons.

Conley has spent his entire nine-year career in Memphis and will continue to do so for the near future.
Conley has been one of the premier point guards in the league for years, now. Despite no all-star selections as of right now, he is undoubtedly one of the best, especially considering his defensive chops. This summer, in a market mostly devoid of point guards, he was the clear best option for any teams in need of them.
The Grizzlies are in a tough situation as they wonder whether their current core can continue to compete. With a new head coach in David Fizdale, the addition of Chandler Parsons, and the retention of Mike Conley, however, there is a chance they can recover.
