With the NBA trade deadline quickly approaching, teams are looking to move pieces in order to make a hopeful playoff push or acquire future picks. Whatever the case may be, the week leading up to the All-star break is the quintessential time where trade talks start to heat up.
However, this may not be the case for the Atlanta Hawks and one of their best players. Last month, the Atlanta Hawks were involved in a multitude of trade rumors and talks that were centered around forward Paul Millsap. After trading away sharpshooter Kyle Korver, the thought around the league was the Hawks were soon to blow things up and deal Millsap.
Fortunately, the rumors started to die down and the Hawks have been committed to keeping Millsap in Atlanta. More recently, Millsap has gotten even more confirmation from his head coach Mike Budenholzer.

Continued speculation about the future of Paul Millsap with the NBA trade deadline looming ended with a few words.
“He’s not going anywhere,” said Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer, who also serves as president of basketball operations, to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Monday. “You can write that.”
Coach Budenholzer’s words speak volumes because of his willingness to come out publicly and back his player. I think it’s safe to say that Paul Millsap won’t be going anywhere before the trade deadline.
