One of the better songs on Miguel’s latest album, Wildheart, gets sliced and diced. Remixed by Cash Dillon, we get dragged into promethazine-induced high that is sided with Travi$ Scott’s unpredictable flow. The slow-tempo version of “Waves” is a complete 180 from its predecessor. Out of all the songs, to rework this one was a bit of a shocker since it wasn’t lauded after the LP’s release. Nevertheless, the record works and you need to hit play now.
