It’s not often that rappers out of Minneapolis, Minnesota are able to take their music to a national stage. However, Minneapolis native Michael Suavé is not your average artist. He’s not only overcome the death of his mother and brother, but he’s also had to make do while his father fights for his freedom from behind bars. Despite these hurdles, Suavé was able to perfect his music talents while staying on campus at a local university.
One of the many hits that Suavé crafted while managing his music and his studies “Type of Time.” Coming off of his 2020 LP, No Distractions, the B Snow & Brian Sumner produced track showcased the Minnesota native’s unique voice and addictive cadence. Over time, The Game caught wind off Suavé’s work and decided to hop on the remix.
“I felt like I needed a hit. I wanted to create a track with a catchy hook to show people I’m not only good at recording music, but talented with a pen as well,” Michael Suavé said about his latest single.
Suavé’s latest single sets him up to have a big summer while The Game prepares to release Drillmatic with Hit-Boy. In the meantime, check out the “Type of Time” remix below.
