Former ESPN anchor Michael Smith will host a three-hour weekday talk show called Brother From Another Mother alongside NBC’s Michael Holley. Airing on NBC’s Peacock streaming service, the daily talk show will tackle culture, sports, entertainment, politics and much more.
“When coming up with our show’s name and thinking about the vibe we wanted to create, we kept coming back to just that — family — and to this brotherhood,” Smith said
“We want this show and the conversations between us and with our guests to feel relatable — literally. As in, if you’re giving us time out of your day, then you’re family to us,” he continued.
This is Smith’s first return to hosting his own show since he left ESPN back in 2019. During his 15-year run with the network, he hosted shows such as His & Hers and Numbers Never Lie. Most notably, he hosted SportsCenter alongside Jemele Hill in 2017.
In the three years since they hosted SportsCenter, the two have left the network. Hill debuted her new show, Stick To Sports, with Cari Champion this week. Smith will debut his new show, Brother From Another Mother, In September.
