Charlotte Hornets young forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist surprised everyone when he returned from a shoulder injury a couple of months earlier than expected. He went down before the season began and it was expected that he would miss the entire 2015-16 campaign. He came back earlier than anticipated and it might not have been for the better.
MKG defied odds once, beating his six month recovery time and returning in four and he suited up to play seven games with Charlotte. The Hornets were 5-2 in the games Kidd-Gilchrist played, climbing back into playoff contention with a 27-26 record and they currently sit eighth in the Eastern Conference standings. Unfortunately, last night the young forward suffered another torn labrum.

Charlotte Hornets small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist suffered a torn labrum in his right shoulder Wednesday in a road victory over the Indiana Pacers.
The Hornets provided no timetable for his recovery, but it appears unlikely he’ll play again this season.
This is the second time in five months Kidd-Gilchrist has suffered that particular injury. He had surgery in October on the shoulder after injuring himself in a preseason exhibition in Orlando.
Kidd-Gilchrist suffered this most recent injury when he hit the floor under the Hornets’ basket and was fallen on by Pacers center Ian Mahinmi. Kidd-Gilchrist remained on the floor for several seconds, grimacing in pain.
UPDATE:
It’s been made official. The young Hornets forward will miss the remaining of the season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
