In no surprise at all, Steve Ballmer continues to be the richest owner in the NBA and Michael Jordan cracks the list of billionaire owners, as shown above, for the first time since owning the Hornets.
Forbes released the entire list of billionaires on their website that includes a full list of the richest people in the world and the NBA is represented well with their owners.
When the Atlanta Hawks do finally sell their team, you have to imagine the suitor for their purchase also has to be a billionaire and he might be able to crack this list as well.
It’s a good sign for the NBA to have so many owners either in the billionaires list or on their way up to that echelon of big money people in the world.
The other primary owners who didn’t crack the NBA billionaire owners list:
Bruce Levenson (Atlanta Hawks)
Wyc Grousbeck (Boston Celtics)
Joe Lacob (Golden State Warriors)
Jeanie Buss (Los Angeles Lakers)
Clayton Bennett (Oklahoma City Thunder)
Robert Sarver (Phoenix Suns)
Vivek Ranadivé (Sacramento Kings)
Peter Holt (San Antonio Spurs)
Larry Tanenbaum (Toronto Raptors)
Greg Miller (Utah Jazz)
Ted Leonsis (Washington Wizards)
