After the emergence of Michael Carter-Williams from the first night beating Miami and eventually winning the R.O.Y. Everybody could tell that this guy will be a great leader down the road. Little did we know that “down the road” would be next season.
With Philly leader Thad Young possibly heading to Minnesota. MCW has said that he would happily lead if Young goes according to ProBasketballTalk.
“I think regardless who is on the team, I have to be a leader out there, give direction to the new guys and really bring the team together.”
If Young is gone, Jason Richardson will be the only veteran player in the Philadelphia squad. But if Carter-Williams takes the reigns and the other young guns follow suit. This’ll be a team to fear in a couple of years.
