Remember these days? I sure do. We may have more of them…
Just two weeks off being released by the Phoenix Suns off the back of his marijuana arrest, Michael Beasley has somehow been signed to the Miami Heat… Talk about falling backwards into the promise land.
I’m not calling Miami the promise land, I only said it for effect but he seriously couldn’t go to a better team.
Here’s a look into his contract via the Sun Sentinel
Beasley will receive the five-year veteran minimum of $1,027,424, the Heat’s actual salary-cap hit will be only $788,872, under the NBA’s minimum-salary policy. In addition, Beasley is still collecting on the final two seasons of his bought-out Suns contract.
Another contract tidbit is that it’s a non-guaranteed contract which means he will have to earn his $.
For the Heat they could always have a shooter. Then again who wouldn’t take a shooter? If he puts up numbers and stay’s off the herb this signing could possibly push them over the hill for a 3rd consecutive championship.
