Michael B. Jordan has signed on to produce and star in Warner Brothers next film ‘Methuselah’. The film will be a biblical-based movie surrounding a man who lived for 969 years.
Jordan will produce through his Outlier Society production company along with Heyday’s David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford. Methuselah is referenced in the Book of Genesis as the son of Enoch, who lived to be 365 years old. The scripts have focused on Methuselah’s survival skills.
Jordan is a busy man. He’s also producing an untitled monster movie from “Kong: Skull Island” director Jordan Vogt-Roberts and has starred in 2 movies in the past year. While many remember him from his iconic role as Killmonger in ‘Black Panther’ Jordan has been acting since a teenager, getting his first big-break in the HBO drug-drama ‘The Wire’. Shortly after, he made an even bigger break in the film ‘Fruitvale Station’.
Now, he may be one of the most sought out actors in all of Hollywood with multiple Oscar-nominated films under his belt. There’s no release date or production start date regarding ‘Methuselah’ but Tom Cruise and Will Smith were both gunning for the role but it was given to Jordan. Just goes to show you how big the young phenom has become in the city of Angels.
