The Rockets recently bought out shooting guard Marcus Thornton. The scoring guard is bound to have suitors, and two of those suitors are reportedly the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers, according to ESPN’s Calvin Watkins.
Marcus Thornton has three to four teams looking at him including Miami and Cleveland. In wait and see mode right now.

The Heat just beat out the Cavs for another scoring-oriented guard: Joe Johnson, who is now playing in Miami. Perhaps the Cavs are seeking out Marcus Thornton as a sort of consolation prize after failing to land Johnson. Thornton would certainly help their bench scoring effort a great deal.
The 28 year old guard averaged 10 points and 2.4 rebounds in 18.8 minutes per game this year for the Rockets, while shooting 40% from the field, 33.8% from 3-point range, and 87.9% from the foul line.
