Metro Boomin’ is the latest chart-topping artist to hint at the release of new music later this year.
“How many albums do you think you’ll be dropping in 2024?” United Kingdom-based producer Don Solutions asked.
“[Three] at the very least,” he replied.
In 2022, Metro Boomin’ released his second studio LP, Heroes & Villains. The 15-track project featured Young Thug, Chris Brown, The Weeknd, Future, Don Toliver and many others. Not only did it go platinum, but the LP also earned a “Best Rap Album” nomination at the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards. Months later, he produced the Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse soundtrack featuring Nas, Lil’ Wayne, Wizkid, Swae Lee, Lil’ Uzi Vert, Offset and more. Additionally, his work on the soundtrack allowed him to secure a cameo in the film.
The momentum Metro Boomin’ has enjoyed throughout the last 18 months will land him at the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards in February. Alongside Jack Antonoff, Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II, Dan Nigro and Chauncey “Hit-Boy” Hollis Jr., he will compete for the “Producer of the Year, Non-Classical” award.
