Awhile back, back in about 2012, there was an announcement of a Metal Gear Solid movie making its way to the big screen, then the talks stopped. There weren’t any implications as to the why the movie was being held up, but now we may know why, three years later. It looks like Hideo Kojima wasn’t fully on-board with previous versions of the script as Sony is now reaching a new deal with screen-writer Jay Basu. Basu was recently approached by Universal in hopes to relaunch their classic monster films.
Hopefully with Basu, Sony and Hideo Kojima will make this the best game-to-movie adaption to date and not blemish Metal Gear Solids legacy.
