Memphis Survives Another Late Rally By Oklahoma City For 98-95 Overtime Game 3 Win; Grizzlies 2-1
The Memphis Grizzlies came up with a second straight overtime win over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3 to take a 2-1 series lead. Mike Conley, Jr. scored 5 of his team-high 20 points in overtime for the Grizzlies. Memphis had six players score in double digits.
Oklahoma City stringed together a 17-0 late run in the fourth quarter, similar to their run in Game 2, but Memphis had necessary plays made by Marc Gasol, Conley Jr., and Courtney Lee who made 3 of 4 game-clinching free throws in the final 10.9 seconds of overtime. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook both finished with 30 points but combined for 19-53 shooting from the field, including 4-21 from three-point range.
Game 4 of this series will take place on Saturday night in Memphis.
