With the news that the Denver Nuggets have made small forward Danilo Gallinari available, teams are sure to want his services. Gallinari is a very talented player offensively. He can score in a variety of ways, and he’s an excellent shooter both from the midrange and from deep. He showed off his scoring abilities in his 47-point outing this season.
The first team in line for the 6’10” Italian is the Memphis Grizzlies. From ESPN’s Marc Stein:
After lining up deal for Matt Barnes, word is Grizz among teams pursuing trade for Denver's Danilo Gallinari as they look to add shooting

The Grizzlies have all the grit, toughness, and defense they need, especially after acquiring Matt Barnes from the Clippers. With Gallinari, they would be bringing in some much needed hot shooting and instant offense to go along with their patented grit n’ grind. He would fit perfectly with Memphis, as they could definitely use his offense. The big question mark when it comes to Gallinari though, is his ability to stay injury-free. Towards the end of the season he looked great though, so perhaps he’ll be able to put his injury-riddled past behind him.
Gallinari would fit well in Memphis, so now the only question is how they can get him there. Having him on the roster along with Jeff Green and Matt Barnes would make for a log-jam at the small forward position, so perhaps one of those two could be involved in the trade. Gallinari is slated to make $11.6 next season, after which he will hit free agency. So, trading for him could be a bit of a risk if the Grizzlies aren’t sure that they can convince him to sign on past next season.
