
Surprise! Megan Thee Stallion will open the 2024 BET Awards. The news comes as the Houston native continues the Hot Girl Summer Tour with GloRilla, leads Amazon’s Prime Day ad campaign and prepares to deliver her self-titled album on Friday, June 28. The 18-track project will feature UGK, Victoria Monét and Kyle Richh.
Hosted by Taraji P. Henson, the BET Awards will also feature performances from Lauryn Hill, Victoria Monét, Tyla, Muni Long, Shaboozey, Ice Spice, Latto, YG Marley, Sexyy Red and Tanner Adell. Other special moments include the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Usher and the debut of a new song from Bad Boys: Ride or Die star Will Smith.
“It’s going to be an incredible show,” Henson said about the awards ceremony.
“You know, it’s Culture’s Biggest Night. The performances are going to blow us all away. We got Will Smith, guys. I am so excited to see what he has up his sleeve.”
The 2024 BET Awards will go down on Sunday, June 30 in Los Angeles, California at 8 p.m. EST.
