Meek Mill is slated to be retried for his 2008 drug and gun case. The retrial decision has been rescheduled for later this month. According to 3 CBS Philly, Meek Mill attended a hearing Tuesday at the Criminal Justice Center in Center City to “discuss the next steps in his case.”
Judge Leon Tucker, who has replaced Judge Genece Brinkley, said it is “possible a different verdict will result at a new trial.” The retrial decision will take place on August 27. Meek’s attorney Joe Tacopina told TMZ, “While we had hoped that this matter would end today, we remain confident that justice will prevail in Meek’s case once and for all.”
