Meek Mill makes his big-screen debut starring in the upcoming film Charm City Kings.
The film debuts during Sundance on January 27 and is based on a story co-written by Barry Jenkins. Meek Mill leads as Blax, a dirtbike rider who takes a teenager under his wing. Meek Mill’s young co-star Jahi Di’Allo Winston plays the role of the Mouse, the adolescent hopeful to join Meek Mill and crew.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are credited as executive producers of Charm City Kings, and Angel Manuel Soto leads as director. Following the Sundance screening, the movie will play in Los Angeles and New York City theaters beginning April 1.
Charm City Kings is not the only movie Meek Mill lends his talents to in 2020. His rap skills have earned him a song placement on the soundtrack for the long-awaited Bad Boys III. Will Catlett, Teyonah Parris, Donielle, Kezii Curtis, and Tremaine Hansley are all among the all-star cast of Charm City Kings.
